Did you know you can exclude patients from THIN and CPRD Data Extracts from the Registration module?

A small number of patients may want to opt out of having their records included in either CPRD or THIN data collection. The default is that consent is assumed unless the patient specifically expresses dissent.

To exclude a patient:

1. From the Vision 3 Front Screen, select Registration and select the patient required.
2. Select their Consent tab and tick the required options:
   • Consent refused for CPRD Data Collection.
   • Consent refused for THIN Data Collection.
3. Select OK to save.

Where consent refused is selected, the patient's record is skipped in the associated data collection.
